It’s National Scrapbooking month and Close to my Heart have released a beautiful paper range and stamp set to celebrate. The paper packet is valued at $23 but can be yours for free with a qualifying order of $85. The matching stamp set $27, check it out here http://www.louisemayor.ctmh.com.au.
Below are some samples I have made up for you to see just how lovely this paper is.
Today I would like to share with you a couple of projects that I have created using February Stamp of the Month, Balloon Animals. This stamp set is available only in February 2016 for $27, or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.
This is such a cute stamp set, featuring 6 balloon animals, 5 sentiments and some dots to help decorate your cards and page layouts. I started with a page layout with inspiration from a monthly sketch challenge and our darling bunny Honeycomb.
For this layout I have used the Thistle and flowery blue paper from the Penelope range, cut circles in Honey and Pear card stock and cut them in half unevenly. The bunnies have been stamped in Honey ink, then embellished with Playful Puffies and Penelope complements.
For my next project I chose to do a birthday card. This stamp set lends itself so well to bright colours, such as the ones used in my page above. The ink colours used are Canary, Thistle, Pear, Pixie, Crystal Blue, Poppy and Lagoon. For the round balloons and the strings, I have used the Kaleidoscope Cardmaking Workshop. I’m really happy with the way this card has turned out.
And here is the inside of the card. You could change the colour of the elephant to suit either gender.
Thank you for visiting my blog today, don’t forget that the February Stamp of the Month, Balloon Animals is only available for February 2016 for $27, or for just $7.50 when you spend $75 or more.
HAPPY CRAFTING EVERYONE!
Welcome to my very first post on my new blog, ‘Come Create With Louise’.I am an Independent Consultant for Close to my Heart, a scrapbooking, cardmaking, stamping and papercraft company. Recently I held a card workshop where I used the stamp set ‘So Many Smiles’ (C1619). I wanted to show how versatile this stamp could be, so I have created 3 cards, the owl one is my own creation and the other two are from fellow CTMH consultants.
Materials for this card are:
White Daisy value pk cards & envelopes – X254
Sangria paper pkt – X7199B
Cardstock – white daisy – 1385
Inks – Eggplant – Z2647, whisper – Z2172, poppy – Z2652, cocoa – Z2114 & pomegranate – Z2653
Fern thick twine – Z3093
Gold sequins – Z2012
So Many Smiles stamp set- C1619
Owls stamp – NLA
Adhesives of choice
3D foam and thin foam tape – Z1151 & Z2060
Edge distresser – Z1297
Sponge dauber – Z726
Art Philosophy cricut cartridge – Z3171
White Daisy circles cut 1 x 2 ¼”, 2 x 1 ½”, 2 x ¾” and cut leaves at 1 ½” using cricut or stamp and fussy cut.
Cut Sangria spotty pattern – 5 ½” x 4 ¼” & attach to card base. Cut opposite leaf side – 1” x 4 ¼” & use distressing tool on the long sides, place fern twine on this strip and attach 1” from the bottom of the card.
Stamp all parts of the owl. Eyes in cocoa, leaves in poppy & trim to size. Wings in eggplant, body in pomegranate & whisper. Assemble as shown using thin & 3D foam tape.
Stamp sentiment in cocoa & sponge poppy around the edge. Place gold sequins on the eyes.
Here are the other two cards that I taught. The first one was created by consultant Denise Tarlinton and the second was inspired from Pinterest.
